Good products see a revitalization every once in a while. The French Butter Dish is one of those products. Used by everyone in the United States before refrigeration, this pottery butter dish stopped being used because the refrigerator was a vast improvement in mom's life. In the last 15 years or so, there has been a revival of the butter dish. As a culture, we now like our butter soft, and this butter dish has proven to be the answer. The French Butter Dish allows you to keep the butter safely on the counter at room temperature. Microwave, dishwasher safe and lead free. Comes in eight different colors.

Here’s how to use the pottery butter dish:
1) Pour 1/2” of water into the bottom of the dish, or enough so that the tip of the top of the dish contacts the water.
2) Put a stick of butter in the top, and using a spoon or knife, push it against the sides.
3) Keep the top on the dish when not in use.
4) If you open it and notice an odor, change the water. It’s a good idea to change the water often, depending on how your water is treated.
A single stick of butter should last a month, or more.
Dishwasher and Microwave safe. Lead free.
